The Wake County Public School System has great teachers. Great schools. Special programs. Innovative learning environments.
Discover which school is right for your child and your family’s needs. The new student assignment plan is designed to give you choices of where to enroll your child.
And from there, your child will grow as a learner to achieve success. At WCPSS, we believe in the potential of all students and are committed to providing them a world-class education.
Preview your School Choices for the 2012-2013 School Year
Just click here and enter your address to see the school choices available to you in the new student assignment plan. You'll be given a list of school options -- at least five elementary, two middle, and two high schools -- as well as magnet schools to which you can apply.
This is just a preview. You'll be able to make your choices during the choice selection periods Jan. 17-Feb. 24 and March 19-April 12.
Remember: if you're satisfied with your child's current school, he or she can stay there with their current level of transportation.
If you have a rising kindergartner, are a new Wake County resident, or want to change your current school, you will need to participate in the choice selection process. Rising kindergartners and new students will need to pre-enroll to get a NC-WISE student ID number prior to participating in the choice selection process.
